Information Literacy Models: An Indian Perspective
Abstract: Effective implementation of information literacy programmes depends on well-structured models. While multiple frameworks exist across the USA, UK, and developed nations, literature indicates a scarcity of models tailored to Indian higher education. The direct application of Western frameworks remains doubtful since foundational computing education typically starts at the undergraduate rather than elementary level in India. This article proposes three distinct models for trainers, undergraduates, and postgraduates, outlining essential implementation measures.

The paper sets out a schematic framework to design robust vocabulary control systems for print and digital cartographic content in electronic library environments.
