Use of College Library by Teachers & Students of Academic Colleges in Faridkot City of Punjab State
Abstract: Information technology has influenced all walks of life and libraries are no exception. The present study examines the use of college libraries by teachers and students in this digital age. A structured questionnaire was distributed among 90 teachers and 90 students (30 teachers and 30 students from each college) in Faridkot City to evaluate resource utilization, visit frequencies, research purposes, IT impacts, hurdles faced, and overall satisfaction levels. Suggestions are offered to optimize academic library services.

Bibliometric Study of Social Science Research in India
Abstract: Seeks to provide current bibliometric indicators on social science research in India to evaluate institutional progress. Using a 10-year publication dataset (1998–2007) drawn from the CSA database for randomly selected Indian organizations, the study evaluates institutional performance based on global publication share, distribution across core national versus international journals, and geographical dispersion of scholarly productivity.

Management of Press Clippings in the Parliament Library of India — A Case Study

Use of Information Sources by the Farmers of Sagar District (M.P.): A Survey
Abstract: Investigates communication channels through which agricultural information is accessed by farmers in Sagar District (Madhya Pradesh). Sources are categorized into personal contact, group contact, and mass contact. Findings demonstrate that personal contact (particularly family elders) is most effective, minikits serve as the primary group contact medium, and Radio and Television represent the most widespread mass media channels for both agricultural guidance and community entertainment.

Legislation for the Libraries in the Internet Era
Abstract: Traces the evolution of public library legislation since the British Public Libraries Act of 1850 and Dr. S.R. Ranganathan's pioneering model bill of 1930. While 15 Indian states have enacted public library laws, 13 states and 7 union territories still lack statutory backing. Highlights governmental inertia, fiscal deficits, and rural library inadequacies, while emphasizing network-enabled resource sharing, mandatory statutory frameworks, and modernization strategies required to compete with open Internet channels.
