Medical Facilities
The university provides limited medical services to day scholars and comprehensive medical care to resident students through the WUS Health Centre, University of Delhi (North Campus). Students are required to enroll as members of the WUS Health Centre to avail themselves of these facilities. Detailed information regarding membership and medical services is available on the WUS Health Centre website. The membership form can also be downloaded from the DLIS – Useful Forms section.
Hostel Accommodation
The University of Delhi maintains six postgraduate hostels/halls of residence: Jubilee Hall, Gwyer Hall, University Hostel for Women, Meghdoot Hostel for Women, P.G. Men's Hostel, and Mansarovar Hostel.
Students seeking hostel accommodation should submit their applications in the prescribed form, available from the respective hostel or hall office, preferably before the commencement of the academic session and in anticipation of admission. As hostel accommodation is limited, allotment is subject to availability, and the University cannot guarantee a hostel seat to every applicant. Consequently, the Department is unable to entertain requests for advance reservation of hostel accommodation.
Applications must be submitted to the respective Hall/Hostel authorities through the Head, Department of Library and Information Science, using the prescribed application form. Applicants are also advised to ensure their presence in Delhi on the opening day of the academic session.
Note: International students seeking hostel accommodation should contact the Foreign Students' Registry, University of Delhi, for information and assistance.
